I love teaching because it's gratifying to see students have the light go on in their heads because they understand something new. I teach to the concepts of each course, and I help students with techniques like mnemonics and examples to encourage retention. I have a strong science background with 12 years of experience as a professor. As a tutor, I figure out how a student learns and I teach using the style that matches. Getting to know a student is the best way for me to be able to help them individually. I want learning to be effective and firm. I can tutor students in biology, anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, cell biology, genetics, molecular biology, and other science courses. In my free time, I like to go hiking, watch movies, and cook.
